Connor Lofton

Engineer I

Mr. Lofton is an Engineer for VSO out of the Montgomery Office. He joined the firm in 2020 and provides petroleum engineering consulting services to clients. Connor uses his background in both engineering and geology to bring a cross disciple skill set to his work. In addition to his technical work, Mr. Lofton also oversees VSO’s internal data management processes, validating VSO’s proprietary technical data sets.

Representative Experience / Projects:

  • Created regional analysis and uplift study for JV project within the Southern Midland Basin on behalf of a private equity firm.
  • Performed technical due diligence for a Northern Midland Basin joint venture opportunity on behalf of a private equity firm.
  • Evaluated reservoir quality and well performance as part of a reserves report for an extensive minerals asset across the Williston Basin.
  • Analyzed PDP well performance for asset sale within Northern Midland Basin on behalf of a credit group.
  • Analyzed well performance for a non-op company focused on Eagle Ford and Buda development.
  • Participated in technical due diligence during a restructuring process on behalf of a first lien creditors committee with operated assets in the Brazos Valley Eagle Ford play.
  • Compiled a report of vertical and horizontal historical performance for a prospective venture within Yegua and Hackberry plays.
  • Characterized reservoir performance to model risk in prospective drilling opportunity within Oswego play, Oklahoma.

Summary of Experience and Affiliations:

Mr. Lofton previously interned with R. W. Dirks Petroleum Engineer and Citation Oil & Gas Corporation, with a focus on Production and Reservoir Engineering analysis. Connor is a 2020 graduate of Texas A&M University with a B.S. in Geology and Petroleum Engineering. He is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE).
