- This VSO analysis checks in on the latest data from a high-profile Delaware Basin cube drilling program that triggered “one of the sharpest selloffs ever seen in the shale business”: Concho’s Dominator Project. When normalized for timing and lateral length, the Dominator wells have underperformed wider-spaced EOG offsets by an average of 54% through 24 months online. The Dominator Project serves as a clear example of the key role inter-well spacing has on performance.

- Adam Taberner provides insight into Midland Basin horizontal development trends in the latest VSO Viewpoint. Although early development was heavily concentrated in the Wolfcamp B, recent years have seen a shift towards greater targeting of both the Wolfcamp A and Lower Spraberry. Average well spacing within these 3 benches has gradually widened since 2018, while average completion fluid loading has stabilized at approximately 2,000 gal/ft.
- VSO’s Preston Young presents an overview of Wolfcamp development in the Delaware Basin. For additional maps of the Delaware Basin and other areas where we work, please visit our website. What do you think the most impactful Wolfcamp development trends will be during the next few years?
